    December 2021 Tarotscopes

This month, I decided to use a different deck than I usually do. I went on a retreat in Sedona recently, and James Wanless, creator of the Voyager Tarot, was one of the teachers. Seeing as how I did a lot of work with the Voyager deck at the retreat, I thought it would be fun to use it for this month’s Tarotscopes.

The Voyager deck is different from just about any other deck. It has a lot of yang energy, but I like it because it is highly intuitive. Anyone can look at the cards and immediately glean meaning. James calls it a tarot deck for the 21st century, and that feels right. There are no kings or queens in this deck. There are men and women, just like you and me.

Let’s see what the Voyager deck has to tell us about December.

    OVERARCHING THEME FOR THIS SEASON

    The Tower

    The Tower
    The Tower

The Tower is a purification card. All that old stuff that doesn’t serve you? Burn it to the ground and begin anew. Destroy any beliefs that have been holding you back, any emotions that block your joy, anything in your world that drains your energy. This is a perfect card to pull this month as we prepare to enter the new year. It’s time to reorder your life so that it best serves you. Commit yourself to growth and expansion, and you will be ready to seize the luck that Jupiter entering Pisces at the end of this month brings.

    Aries  (Mar 21 – Apr 19) – Seven of Worlds * Breakthrough

    Breakthrough – Seven of Worlds

This card is fiery just like you, Aries. Paired with your energy, the world better watch out! It’s time to break through your blocks, shed anyone who tries to hold you back, and utilize your Aries power and inner fire to make your goals happen. Express yourself. Others are looking to you to lead the way.

    Taurus (Apr 20 – May 20) – Five of Wands * Oppression

    5 of wands
    5 of Wands

Wow! I’m sensing a theme with the cards this month. The Five of Wands asks you to free yourself from any ways in which you have been oppressing yourself, Taurus. Any limits you feel are self-imposed because the truth is you are limitless. So, break free and shine your light.

    Gemini (May 21 – June 20) – Nine of Wands * Integrity

    Nine of Wands
    Nine of Wands

Integrity is one of the most precious values in life. It means having the courage to live life on your terms and being able to look yourself in the mirror when the day is done. Be true to yourself, protect your light, and trust your intuition as you move out of 2021 and into 2022. Beautiful things await you on the other side, Gemini.

    Cancer (June 21 – July 22) – Woman of Cups * Rejoicer

Cancer, your watery energy combined with this watery card are an excellent balance to the fiery Sagittarian energy this month. Bask in the beauty of the natural world. Marvel at the glorious mystery that is life. Express your emotions. This is an irresistible quality that magnetizes others to you. Spend time dreaming and visualizing what you would like the new year to bring. Make your visualizations so real they feel as if they already exist. This will make 2022 a year of joy and abundance for you.

    Leo (July 23 – Aug 22) – Child of Worlds * Player

This is a perfect card for you, playful Leo. As if you need any encouragement, this card asks you to play at life and play at work. Be a kid. Have fun. Enjoy yourself! Maybe even take a class and learn a new skill. Your creativity inspires others. So have a ball, and make sure everyone knows it.

    Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) – Sage of Cups * Regenerator

    Sage of Cups
    Sage of Cups

Virgo, it’s time to let your joy loose. Find happiness in everything you do this month. Through your enjoyment of life, you help others do the same. I know it’s contrary to your Virgo nature, but explore getting messy—finger paint, walk in the dirt, run outside in the rain…and laugh while you do so.

    Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22) – Four of Wands * Aspiration

    Four of Wands
    Four of Wands

It’s time to free yourself from anything that has been blocking your growth, Libra. Whether a job, a relationship, or your own limiting beliefs, the moment has come to move on. Take courage, realize your potential, and go for it! Liberate yourself and the world is yours for the taking.

    Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21) – Two of Worlds * Reflection

    Two of Worlds
    Two of Worlds

During the winter, we are often stuck inside with nothing to do but reflect on our lives. Release the past, Scorpio. You can’t change it, but you can take this time to determine if you are moving toward your dream future. Rest, vision, and ready yourself for the year to come.

    Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21) –  Woman of Wands * Sensor

    Woman of Wands
    Woman of Wands

This card is strength and spirit honed in fire. What an appropriate card for you, Sagittarius. Allow your intuition free reign. Let yourself bask in your animal sensuality. Your inhibition heals others as well as yourself.

    Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) – Seven of Crystals * Dullness

    Seven of Crystals
    Seven of Crystals

Capricorn, you are anything but dull. This card asks you to relax your active mind. Spend time sitting in the night air gazing at the stars. Take time to recharge. Your season is coming, and then you will be all action.

    Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18) – Five of Crystals * Negativity

    Five of Crystals
    Five of Crystals

Aquarius, it’s time to transmute any negative thinking you have into something more resourceful. After all, things you view as negative in your life are things that other people wish for. Also, kick any negative people around you to the curb. Life’s too short. Notice where you may not be being kind to yourself and make more positive choices. Doing this regularly will ensure 2022 is your best year yet.

    Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20) – Nine of Cups * Fulfillment

    Nine of Cups
    Nine of Cups

Check you out, Pisces. Jupiter enters Pisces at the end of this month. Then, you will be attracting all the luck and richness of life. It’s a great time for you to honor your creative spirit and realize your potential. Make your masterpiece and prepare to feel the joy that comes with having done good work. Others will take notice. Celebrate yourself. You are an incredible talent.
